Tiina Vares

Tiina Vares is a lecturer in gender and cultural studies at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. Her research interests include sexualities, masculinities and the reception of popular cultural texts.

Wendy Varney

Wendy Varney is a Visiting Fellow at the Institute of Environmental Studies at the University of NSW. Her doctoral thesis was on the social shaping of children's manufactured toys but she also researches the history and politics of women's gymnastics and a wide range of issues relating to consumer and leisure cultures and technologies. She has also written on nonviolence and the environmental movement.

Christopher A. Vaughan

Christopher A. Vaughan, Assistant Professor of Journalism and Media Studies in the School of Communication, Information and Library Studies at Rutgers University, holds a Ph.D. in History from University of California, Berkeley. A former foreign correspondent, he writes on international and intercultural media and popular culture, identity, memory, and representation, with historical and contemporary foci on relations between the media of the United States and the nation's internal and external empires.

Yonatan Vinitsky

Yonatan Vinitsky is an artist who works with video, sculpture and installation. He is currently completing his BA in Fine Art in Goldsmiths College, London. His works explores issues of memory, time, place and belief. In his works he uses unusual materials, images or inventions in order to question the time differences between the creation time and exhibition time, as well as between the ‘past event’ and the present.
