Alison Taylor is a PhD candidate at the University of Queensland. Her thesis is entitled “‘Profoundly Disturbing’: Violence, Complicity and the Everyday in European Art Cinema.” She completed her honours dissertation in 2006 on eroticised violence in the films of Tony Scott.
