Annette Patterson is Professor and Head of the School of Cultural and Language Studies in Education at Queensland University of Technology, Australia. Her publications are in the field of secondary English curriculum and literature teaching and she has co-authored a number of books including Questions of English published by Routledge Falmer Press. She is currently working on a project with Jennifer Rennie investigating the out-of-school reading practices of young people in regional and urban Australia and she is part of an ARC LIEF grant that is developing an online database of full-text resources of early Australian children's literature.
