In 2007, Catalina Florina Florescu earned her doctoral degree in Comparative Literature from Purdue University with a dissertation entitled Transacting Sites of the Liminal Bodily Spaces. Currently, she is a lecturer at Rutgers University and conducting her research on a book with a provisional title, Imago Matris: The Reversal of the Maternal Image in Theater, Arts and Media.
