Chingshun J. Sheu is a PhD student in English at National Taiwan Normal University, in Taipei, specializing in contemporary American fiction and the object-oriented ethics of addressing the Anthropocene. His MA thesis is on Sartre, Badiou, and John Williams’s novel Stoner, and he has published on Kierkegaard, William Gaddis’s novel The Recognitions, and the short fiction of Taiwanese author Chang Hsiu-ya.
