Claudia Wegener is Professor of Audiovisual Media Studies at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF of Potsdam, Germany. She is vice president of the board of trustees of KJF, German Centre for Youth and Children's Films and has been a member of the supervisory board of Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg GmbH since 2010. Her research and teaching interests are media appropriation and reception, media socialization, communication theory, qualitative media research, digital media culture and gender representation.
