Denise Beckton, BA Ed (ECU), Grad Dip PH (Curtin), Grad Cert CI (CQU), has a background in public health and education and is a specialist teacher in Creative Industries at Central Queensland University (Noosa campus) where she is a research higher degree candidate, writing a young adult/crossover novel and a related dissertation. Beckton has attained multiple awards in the fields of education and public health including the national ACHPER Award for excellence in Health and Physical Education, The WA Healthways Award and the WA Premier’s Award (finalist) for her HEAPS program.
