Professor Elizabeth Leane holds an ARC Future Fellowship split between the School of Humanities and the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies at the University of Tasmania. With degrees in physics and literary studies, she is interested in bringing the insights of the humanities to the study of the Antarctic. Her books include South Pole: Nature and Culture (2016) and Antarctica in Fiction (2012). She is a Chief Investigator on the ARC “Antarctic Cities” Linkage Project.
