Emily McAvan is an Australian cultural critic whose work takes in the intersection between religion and culture. She is the author of Jeanette Winterson and Religion (Bloomsbury 2020) and The Postmodern Sacred (McFarland 2012) as well as numerous journal articles. She teaches at Monash University.
