Dr. Katie Lavers is an adjunct lecturer at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Her writing on circus has been published in numerous scholarly journals, and she is co-editor with Peta Tait of The Routledge Circus Studies Reader (2016) and is currently writing a new book on contemporary circus for Routledge. Katie is a circus reviewer for ArtsHub, Australia. As a director, her intermedia circus works have toured throughout Australia and Asia to acclaim.
