Kristina Deffenbacher is Professor of English at Hamline University in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where she teaches and writes in the fields of gender studies, cultural studies, and British and Irish literatures. Her most recent work on gender, media, and culture includes the essay, “Good Girls Revolt, ‘Nasty Women’ and the Politics of Recognition,” and the article, “Alternative Gazes, Aesthetics, and Affects in I Love Dick.”
