"Lucia Vodanovic grew up in Santiago, Chile. She completed her completed her PhD in Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths College, where she now works as Visiting Tutor within the Department of Media and Communications. Her research focus on the idea of obsolescence and the life of objects with the art system and beyond, alongside issues of appropriation and cultural transmission, ideas of waste and the non-utilitarian. She is currently editing a volume of conversations about culture and critique to be published during 2010; the collection include, among others, Andrew Benjamin, Brian Massumi and Boris Groys.
