Lucie Chateau is a PhD candidate at Tilburg University whose work focuses on the possibility of affective critique online. Her projects analyse non-deliberative forms of communication such as memes and aesthetics. Her work has therefore looked at depression memes, anti-capitalist memes and climate change memes, but seeks to maintain a broader outlook on the ways in which subjectivity and affect have come to form assemblages online.
