Mandy Treagus is Senior Lecturer and Head of English at the University of Adelaide. Her research has been in Victorian, Australian and postcolonial literatures and film, and cultural history. Her work has appeared in the Journal of Postcolonial Writing, Kunapipi, Australasian Victorian Studies Journal and The International Journal of the History of Sport. Her current project explores the display of Pacific peoples in colonial exhibitions, especially with regard to the agency of the performers, and has appeared in several edited collections. She has recently contributed entries on New Zealand film to the World Directory of Cinema.
