Marcella Polain is a Senior Lecturer in the Writing program at Edith Cowan University in Perth. She has published three poetry collections, her latest Therapy like Fish: new and selected poems, 2008. John Leonard Press, Melbourne. Her novel, The Edge of the World, 2007, Fremantle Press, Fremantle, is based on her family's survival of the Armenian Genocide, and was short-listed for a Commonwealth Writers' Prize. She is currently working on a second novel.
