Maria Chisari is currently completing a PhD that explores how the concept of becoming an Australian citizen is produced in and through the discourses around the Australian citizenship test. Her teaching experience and research interests are interdisciplinary spanning the fields of cultural studies and governmentality, Australian history and TESOL.
