Wilken, Rowan

Dr Rowan Wilken is a lecturer in Media and Communications, Faculty of Life and Social Sciences, Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne. He is author of a number of articles that examine the relationship between place and media. His present research interests include domestic media consumption, digital technologies and culture, mobile and locative media, old and new media, and theories and practices of everyday life. He is author of Teletechnologies, Place & Community (Routledge, 2011) and co-editor (with Gerard Goggin) of an edited collection entitled Mobile Technology & Place (Routledge, forthcoming 2012).
