Sally Totman is an Associate Professor in Middle East Studies at Deakin University. She is the author of How Hollywood Projects Foreign Policy (2009) and the co-editor of Global Crises and Risks (2008), as well as articles on the leadership of Libya under Colonel Qaddafi, and the teaching of Middle East politics at a university level. She is a regular expert commentator internationally on the politics of the Middle East and North Africa.
