Sarah Richardson graduated with a Master of Arts in English Literature with Distinction from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand in December 2011. Her thesis was titled "A 'stain on silence': the Registration of Trauma in the Comics Memoirs of Alison Bechdel and Art Spiegelman." She has worked as a tutor in several English Literature papers and has delivered guest lectures.
