Sarah Turner is a Professor of Geography at McGill University. Her research focuses on how individuals in Southeast Asia who are somehow marginalised, be it economically, politically, or due to ethnicity or gender, respond to state interventions in their lives and livelihoods and the everyday politics and resistance tactics individuals form in response.
